Welcome, one and all, guest and citizen, friend and foe, to the Wild Goat Pub, Natopia's historic general meeting place. Today is the 6th anniversary of the original founding of our country and it is also the sixth annual gala for the celebration of Natopia Day. The very first gala occurred in real life as a pool party at my house for all the original citizens of Natopia (numbering in the dozens). The second gala was in real life, but attendance was much lower (it was a really lame party, we dont talk about it). The 3rd gala was taken on the road to the Illinois State Fair, thus beginning Natopia's affair with the Butter Cow from that fair. The fourth gala, I believe, was the first celebrated exclusively online as a formal ball in Vista de Nada palace. Last years celebrations were our fifth year and despite the milestone year, we had a low-key party here in the Pub. For our 6th Gala we wanted to repeat that, but make it better.
Hopefully you will all enjoy yourselves and mingle amongst each other. Remember, attire is come as you are and informal
Tradition is that I recount the history of Natopia as part of a Speech, but I figure this little history on past Galas is enough considering the more complete history I am currently writing/making up:
