By Order of the Sovereign Natopian Emperor:
RECOGNIZING, the Imperial tradition of demesnes,
DESIRING, a modern system of governing them,
I hereby enact this system of demesnial organization,
1. The Emperor will have ultimate authority over all demesnes of the Empire.
2. The Emperor will appoint several citizens to the rank and office of Duke or Duchess and give them authority over a Duchy.
3. A duchy will be composed of the duchy proper, of which the duke or duchess will have primary authority over, as well as several baronies.
4. A duke or duchess may appoint any resident of their duchy to the rank and office of baron of a demesne in their duchy.
5. A baron will have authority over their barony until their duke intervenes.
6. Barons must show fealty to all dukes of the Empire, but dukes may only make commands of barons under their own duchy.
7. Dukes and duchesses will be addressed as "His or Her Grace, Name, the Duke or Duchess of Place"
8. Barons and baronesses will be addressed as "His or Her Lordship, Name, the Baron or Baroness of Place"
9. There shall be two duchies, along with their dependent demesnes:
Borders Bay, with East Tapfer, Klaasiya, New Dracoheim, Ferien & Ptia, Pavleton, and Lochhatonia
Flaventia, with Muckypuckyland, Tasneemia, Hazelwood, Robland, Punkrock, and Cheshunt
10. The demesne of Ziegeland shall remain independent from the other duchies and will be a barony tied to the title and office of the Sovereign Natopian Empeor.
Decreed this Eighth Day of the Month of Novaber in the Third Year After Family Guy by His Sovereign Majesty, Nathan the Only, Sovereign Natopian Emperor, Baron of Ziegeland, King of Athlon, Earl of Lindstrom, Count of Smjörkýr
Amended 11 Natopuary, 3 AFG, to update demesnial structure.
Amended 20 Natopuary, 3 AFG, to trade Cheshunt to Flaventia and Ferien & Ptia to Borders Bay.
