The tiny island of Ptia is one unvisited by tourists now. Indeed, it is believed no human has set foot in it for nigh on two millenia. Originally founded by humans and elves after the slaying of a necromancer on the island (according to an old myth; the existence of a necromancer has never been proven) as a trading port between the two race's homelands, its proximity to human, elven, and micron lands caused it to become the capital of the nation of Elpidos. The city of Ptia covered the whole island ... though it was damaged in the Imperial attacks and a great battle was fought there. As the plague spread across the known world, the Microns in Ptia attempted to activate stasis generators ... and plunged their city into stasis for millenia. Rediscovered by Sai'Kar Lum'Eth in the Menelmecarian era, for a time it opened itself to the world, but as Menelmecar faded, the Microns retreated to Ptia and it became their only refuge left. Now even the memory of the Microns have faded and most Natopians merely avoid the island with a bad feeling "They shouldn't go there." Attempts by modern Soloralist scholars to attribute this to some sort of defensive mental field created by the inhabitants of Ptia, to help hide the last Time Distortionists, have met with limited success. Whether Microns are still there or not, no human has entered the city.
