first and foremost, Klaasiya is named after Zachary Klaas, former President of Lavalon. Long ago Natopia and Lavalon were rival micronations, friendly at first and shared citizenry. However, rivalry became bitter and eventually Lavalon died and bit by bit, Natopia annexed Lavalon's old land, which is now the barony of East Tapfer. Klaasiya was an original province of Lavalon, and the first bit of Lavalon that Natopia annexed. It location was originally around present day Bagelston. However, due to demesnial shuffles Klaasiya now occupies the western portion of our Tapfer lands. As such the baronial coat of arms is the original flag of Lavalon during the presidency of Zachary Klaas. The Klaas era also saw the rise to prominence of the Progressive Bagelcratican Party, the Free Juice and Bagels Party branch of Lavalon. That is the real history.

Klaasiyan cities also have bit of history. Frieden Mines and Hoheit are named after two of the 5 original Regions of Natopia during Natopia's offline infancy.

The fictional history can be found in the Opaeied which says that modern day Klaasiya, and the entire Tapfer shoreline around Borders Bay was inhabited by a tribe known as the Klaas. They met Nett Opaegh, our mythical founder, and aided him on his quest to found Natopia City, present day Lindstrom city, our capital.

Along the same fictional lines, Mehlville is a large center for displaced ethnic Mehls, called Anti-Natopians, who left the area around the ruins of Dracoheim in present day Ziegeland. This can be found in the Complete Concise History.

Borders City is a technological center for Natopia and is a modern, planned city. It was built from scratch as the capital of the former Crown Colonies of Tapfer... 3 colonies that now entirely within the barony of Klaasiya.
