Trade greetings from Gralus

Dearest Natopians,

For too long have our people lived in close friendship and yet barely exchanged a thing. Through much planning and arguing, and with the assistance of some Shirithians and Ocians, I have come up with a trading program which I hope will suit virtually every micronation interested in trade.

If you have questions, feel free to ask ... I'm used to explaining this by now. The easiest use of trading is clearly with the defined MCS Resources, but because of the interest expressed in this by Ocia with their Giessan holdings, it's opened up so that nations can do it on both maps. If Natopia decides to get its old land back from Riponia and use resources from Giess, they're more than welcome to.

Since databases have let me down (ie no one's designed one with all the functionality I need) I've turned to Excel to do it. The advantage of this is each nation can manage their own trade in their own way (which removes the need for a supranational organisation to do it all). Excel, I trust, is easy for most people to access, change and re-upload, compared to my previous 5 mb database ...

I'm most interested in the resource trading, though the agreement allows for exchanges of goods and services between our nations also. If that last bit doesn't suit your economy, I'm more than happy to drop it.

Sounds good. Unfortunately, our economy is going through major reforms so we can't guarantee the currency exchange rate yet ... does Natopia have a currency?
If you don't have an active economy however, you could do what we're doing with Alexandria - just allocate 100 000 currency (whatever name you like) to trading, which is how much Gralus is doing, then we just make exchange of currency 1 for 1 ... and so it's very easy to work out.

Yea, I did not wanna deal with a currency for Natopia this time around so we have no economy at all. We'll do the Alexandria deal then... bring back the Natopo for trading purposes only.

Gralan – Natopian Agreement on Trade

Section One – Monetary Exchange

Recognising the relative float of currency of Gralus and Natopia, we establish our currency exchange rate as follows:
1 NCU = 1 Natopo

Exchange of currency will only be organised for the purposes of resource trading.

Section Two – Trading Resource

Gralus will manage their resource trading in the following way.
Trading for the nation will be organised for the Graluss a whole by their Minister for Trade (or other appropriate title of contact person). Anybody wishing to import this nation’s resources must approach their Minister for Trade, and agree upon the resource, the amount to be traded, and the cost. Similarly, the Minister for Trade will approach the other nation when he wishes to import items, and agree upon the resource, the amount to be traded, and the cost, on behalf of his government.

Natopia will manage their resource trading in the following way.

If you go to the excel doc at the top, you can save it and reupload it as Natopian Resources or something ... then just go along the resource map and add 100 for each resource you have .... then I'll bring in Gralus' order ...

I cant seem to open that Excel doc with my OpenOffice.org Calc program.... I'll be back home on Tuesday and have access to proper Microsoft Office 2000 and then I'll open it.

Also I have no idea how google docs work.
