Pardon the intrusion, but I am confused about a couple thing. the area in question is East Tapfer, the gray area including Butter Cow City and Bagelston? if that goes back, what are we getting in exchange? some of the open green area? I get the idea of giving historical lands back, but i am confused on the terms. Thanks in advance.

I would like to present an alternative proposal. After much internal discussion and debate, the Foreign Ministry has put together this map detailing the land we would be willing to vacate for Universalis to reclaim. This was a difficult decision as Natopia's foreign policy has never been favorable to giving up land. The land in question is very important to Natopia, as the entire peninsula was once the home of Lavalon, our sometimes rival, sometimes sister nation. Occupying it therefore is a central tenant to the empire's territorial integrity and was of prime concern when Natopia reformed and reasserted sovereignty over the Tapfer lands that were lost during the Natopian Dark Age. This new proposal, as I have roughly gauged it, splits the peninsula almost in half, allowing Natopia to remain in possession of the two critical cities of the region and restoring nearly all of Universalis' original border while maintaining Natopian control over the Bay and keeping a suitable land connection between Klaasiya and East Tapfer. The new border, compared to the ones in the original proposals, has been cleaned up, rationalized and made more aesthetically and cartographically pleasing. The sharp cuts and bumps of the first proposal have been divided into a more irregular and less jarring border.  |

Having spent a good portion of time sifting through old forums, I can indeed appreciate Natopia's relationship with Lavalon. Given that, I accept your proposal without further modification. I understand this was a difficult decision to make, but do wish to express my gratitude towards you and Natopia in going through this long negotiation process and being willing to sacrifice your territory. If there is anything more I can do to repay you for this generosity, please just ask.
Shall we formalize this in the form of a treaty and then present it to the MCS?

Treaty of Bagelston
Between
Bovic Empire of Natopia
and
Technocracy of Universalis
Recognizing the strong spirit of friendship, cooperation, understanding and appreciation for the history and culture of each nation, the signing parties hereby agree to the following:
1. Natopia shall withdraw from an area of land on the East Tapfer peninsula so that its final border shall be as shown below. The lost territory shall be redistributed later at Natopia's discretion.
2. Natopia grants all rights to Universalis to annex and administer and assume full sovereignty over all former lands in the East Tapfer peninsula vacated by the terms in clause 1 of this treaty.
3. Each party recognizes and supports the territorial claims established in this treaty.
4. All Natopian citizens residing in former Natopian lands shall have full rights to become Universal residents OR they shall not be impeded when relocating to Natopian territory.

Konrad's signature is considered legally binding and ratifying in Natopia. I can sign, but it would have no effect lol.
