I would like to petition the Ministry for permission to unhide the "Natopian Allinace for Gay Rights" board within the Lindstrom Square category. There has been a recent resurgence of homophobic micronationalists that NAGR needs to take on educating.

Hmmm, would you be interested in sponsoring a treaty - like nuclear non-proliferation - amongst nations in support of gay rights (incl marriage)? I'd be up for having Universalis in on it. I think it'd be a good way to show intermicronational solidarity in support of gay rights.
It really irks me that people can still be so bigoted...

A treaty would be a good project for NAGR to undertake Ryan. When the board is reactivated I'll put up a topic there.

Stormark believes in free speech, even if said speech is somewhat bigoted. Everyone is entitled to their opinion...regardless of how half-assed such opinion may be. I'm really sorry that this happened and for any upset if may have caused.

What happened in Stormark? I'm kinda surprised anyone there would say something negative, considering David Redstone (Treisenberg) was well-known for being transgendered, and very well-respected in Stormark. Of course, that was like 3-5 years ago...

David Redstone wasn't the transgendered one. That was "Marie Lauverman" who is still semi-active in Stormark under the name "Anne Marie". Redstone was the one who first had a huge battle royal with her...then married her...then hated her again. They are RL friends who cant seem to agree on if they love or hate each other. Redstone has been gone for a while now, from what I can tell. Anyway... Thorald the "Wise" has made a comment in the Althing stating that The Kingdom of Valencia's morality is an issue with him because of the comments made by their monarch about homosexuality (not negative comments), and the name of a forum being French for "The Birdcage" - of course a reference to the way awesome movie.

I thought Lauverman was Redstone... *is confused all over again* Well ONE of them is transgendered... But that aside, go beat Thorald with your axe. And yes, The Birdcage was a great movie.  |
