Given that Natopia has ceded us land and that, like Natopia, I wish to integrate some of the past history with Universalis, I wish to inquire with some questions about Natopia's relationship with Lavalon.
1. Does Natopia have any relationship with the current incarnation of Lavalon?
2. Would Natopia be offended if I included some tidbits of Lavalonian and Natopian culture in descriptions of the lands ceded to us?
3. We are trying to find an appropriate name for the mainland area west of Koloniatsk that was ceded to us. The most applicable former name seems to be the Lavalonian region of Trans-Djermanie. Can Natopia share any information about this area with us?

1. Does Natopia have any relationship with the current incarnation of Lavalon? A. No we do not. They presented themselves to us, and after confirming this incarnation had nothing to do with Mathew Vasroixe (or whatever his name is now) I wished them the best of luck. However, they are highly entrenched in the 'secessionist' camp therefore, while we are glad to see Lavalon as ever-living as we are, we have no official relationship. 2. Would Natopia be offended if I included some tidbits of Lavalonian and Natopian culture in descriptions of the lands ceded to us? A. Not at all. Please go right ahead. 3. We are trying to find an appropriate name for the mainland area west of Koloniatsk that was ceded to us. The most applicable former name seems to be the Lavalonian region of Trans-Djermanie. Can Natopia share any information about this area with us? A. Trans-Djermanie was the province ruled and established by Henzelli (who now resides in Antica i think? or at least his last known place of residence) and was as far as I remember a quasi-socialist culture. At least because he was a socialist and the provinces took after their rulers. There was little regional development at that time as most Lavalonians did not support claiming land on Micras. The only story I remember was that there was an old city Kierengrad (ruins in Natopia still i think) and that there was a student revolution at the major Lavalonian university there. Also, it is home to "millions of refuges" from the collapse of Henzelli's own micronation the Socialist State of New Germany (thus the name, which he suggested) and Henzelburk (now Estatia) is a coastal industrial "powerhouse." So very German, very socialist, very mid 19th century Marxist revolutionary. In hind sight, I am the only one who didnt get a Lavalonian province named for them!!!! Whatever, half of it belongs to Natopia so I still win >

The "new" Lavalon seems rather full of itself. Maybe it's just me, but they come off as being arrogant. Universalis won't be having a relationship with them any time soon given we're really entrenched in the 'simulationist' side of things. So yeah, I was curious what you thought of them given how much of their old culture you're keeping alive.
Hey, I remember Henzelli! My mind has started degenerating yet...
Your description sheds a lot of light on things though. Thank you! I vaguely remember New Germany...
Googling "Djermanie" it seems to be how the Romanians spell it. This would make sense. Like "Transylvania". Trans = Ultra = Beyond. So it would translate roughly to "Beyond Germany".
Maybe I can track Henzelli down and get him to tell me some stuff about it.
