Keep it in your own territory off the mainland, to not pollute the pure and noble Natopian culture

I don't know anymore. Like you said, its only important for a select few nations. I guess we need to decide what we, as a nation, value more: cultural continuity of territory or access to resources that determine whether or not we are a superpower based on a formula not all nations recognize. Also the MITO site still shows us owning Holzborg... but by treaty giving them their independence I think we still have access to their resources... but they just refounded themselves so I'm sure they would not be too keen to recognize the treaty lol. We were on level nine out of ten haha. Oh well, I don't think its really relevant anymore. I might favor reclaiming. While it's sad to say, the reality is that very few nations seem to have any interest in international trade of any sort. The nations that did have significant interest (apart from the ones whose trade was managed by myself) were/are Natopia, Tellia, and to a lesser extent, Amokolia and Passas; but Passas died, Amokolia did ... strange things; Tellia got absorbed into a strongly anti-international trade Ashkenatza; and Natopia acheived economic utopia. The advantage of achieving economic utopia is of course that it's cool, you've 'won' trading and the bragging rights; but the huge disadvantage is that Natopia, Gralus and Shireroth lost interest in trading after they'd set up all their trade routes and achieved economic utopia. So I haven't bothered updating MITO in six months because nobody's asked or shown much interest. So if you want to drop the sprawling mass to reclaim historic lands; and only had the sprawling mass for MITO reasons, I'd suggest you go ahead and do that. If it were me, I'd scale it back to the original colony - Natopia has played at being a trade/economic superpower for a while now, and it would seem silly to completely ignore that history just because there aren't many other nations interested in competing on that ground. After all, you have a space program (which I need to talk to you about re a JASO project, when I eventually get around to doing JASO again ...)

True, our MITO trade empire certainly was an accomplishment we should take pride in.
