Hail Bovine Worshippers! I would like to extend the hand of friendship from the Would-Be Persians. Babkha is working to develop a proactive foreign department and foster more interaction between the nations of Micras, especially those who border us. We hope that Natopia is willing to entertain our offer. Sincerely, Amir Shervanis, Grand Vizier Emir of Zsharra and Baatharz The Imperial State of Babkha

I may consider entertaining such a blasphemous notion.
However, whatever form of diplomacy or friendship or hell-freezing alliance may crawl from the after birth of this idea shall never, in no way, under no circumstances, result in the transfer, trade, sharing or cessation of our Euran possessions to Babkha.
If I am blunt, it is only because the only times Babkhans come to my land, it is to demand we cede our land to them.

Well given said past interactions, I think it's obvious that Natopia is not going to grant Babkha any leeway in regard to Euran territory. Although we still consider Eura to be integral to Babkha, and therefore I admit we do desire said lands returned. However, since neither of us is willing to budge on the issue, there's no point in brooding over it further. So I suggest we toss such issues to the background and move onto more productive dealings.

Excellency,
What sort of productive dealings do you have in mind?

Taking a gander at Spangle's new space system (and liking it) I was thinking Natopia might be able to assist us in that regard. In return we can give you access to the oil fields South Mehlville used to control (or something else if you have a specific idea).
Another suggestion is open borders between Athlon and Zsharra (limiting it to provinces rather than the whole country, which I think you may find more amenable), which will help both economies and improve transportation, among other things.

We have experience in assisting other national space programs, Karnali for instance. However, we are currently "going it alone" in regards to Spangle's idea. If there would be a way for us to jump in recognizing out previous endeavors, we may join it, but we are doing doing our own thing independent of a system, similar to how Shireroth and Nelega are attempting to get to the moon. If you would be interested in a joint mission like that, we could start an international space race.
I had already worked into the culture of the Euran portion of Athlon to be a mish-mash of Athlon, Natopian, and Babkhan politicians and corruption, so an open land border would serve that quite well.
The remaining portion of the former South Mehlville still occupies oil-rich territory so such a trade won't be necessary.

I wasn't sure if you were on board with Spangle or not, but we can go either way, so an independent ad hoc thing will be fine. May work out better anyways since this will be Babkha's first approach to anything technological. A space race does sound like fun though. How would you suggest we best go about such an operation? I'm inclined that we could use some assistance in engineering a plan to locate the best launch site within our Euran territory and establish a base of operations for the Babkhan Orbital and Stellar Systems (BOSS - already got a good acronym ). I'm happy you're amenable to open borders. I'll draft up a treaty and post it here shortly for picking over, if that works from your end.

I'm interested in Spangle's program, and will follow it and participate in it if it happens to help us. I'm more excited for it to legitimize and make micronational space programs more popular. Acronyms are, perhaps, the most important part of micronational endeavors Before NOOP, our space program was MISSED ... should combine them to OOPSMISSED hehe Yes, a spaceport is important to decide. I'd suggest a open area away from cities or island or peninsula. I look forward to the historic occasion of a Natopian-Babkhan formal relation. However, per this Declaration, the extent of our relations will remain cordial and distant aside from space cooperation and open borders on Eura. natopianation.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=vistadenada&action=display&thread=544

Understanding your declaration of condemnation, we are not harboring Ardashir. In fact, we have co-jointly organized jurisdiction with Elwynn in regards to following a court procedure on the matter. Antica has waived its charges in lieu of letting the joint Babkho-Elwynnese court conduct a trial. We're basically waiting on Elwynn to get things organized, and for Ardashir to actually return (if that even happens).
I hope that helps ease your concerns somewhat.

Yes, that should not interfere with our condemnation.

I have indicated Natopia's generous offer of assistance to us in establishing a space program and have gotten things rolling by issuing an order securing for Babkha an island suitable for a base. Construction shall commence immediately, and shuttle/launch craft designs are presently in the works. Any recommendations Natopia may have in this regard are welcome. A Natopian delegation is also welcome to visit Al-Janah (the island) and review the construction process.
